Cheap Skin Care

The secret to looking young and beautiful is to have beautiful skin. We all dream of getting a miracle in a bottle and so many advertisements have led us to believe that it is possible to have zero pores, instant face lifts and more. In our pursuit of getting that miracle bottle, we are willing to pay hundreds of dollars for a tiny jar of moisteriser that is supposedly going to fix our problems forever. We have been brainwashed to think that only expensive beauty products would be able to deliver what we seek. But that is not true. A good skin care product does not need to be expensive. Here are my ten tips to have beautiful skin without spending hundreds of dollars each year.

)Have a routine to cleanse, tone and moisterise your face twice each day, morning and night. The skin collects a lot of dirt and dust and you'll want to avoid the pores from being clogged up with impurities. Clogged up pores lead to bigger pores, blackheads, pimples and blemishes.

)Try to exfoliate the skin weekly to get rid of the dead cells that is causing the skin to appear dull. You won't believe what a weekly polish will do to your skin. Use either home made exfoliators or mask.

)Replenish the lost nutrients by applying a homemade mask on a weekly basis - preferably after a good exfoliation. Dependent on what kind of mask it is, put it on for 5 to 15 minutes. This will leave the skin soft, smooth and refreshed.

)Protect your skin from the sun. Use sunscreen, preferably SPF 30 and above and stay out of sun from 10 to 2 or use an umbrella or a hat when you have to go out during these hours. Some moisterisers claim that they contain SPF 15 but these are usually not sufficient to provide protection against the harshness of the sun. It's better to apply additional sunblock after applying the moisteriser. Don't forget to apply on your neck, scalp, elbow, top of the feet and other exposed area.

)Get enough rest and nutrition. I cannot stress enough about how proper nutrition can affect ones skin. Eat lots of fruit, vegetable, grains, nuts and fish and try to avoid processed food as much as possible. Carrot juice is a good source of vitamin A, which is also the key ingredient to healthy skin.

)Control your stress level. Best way to do this is by exercising, or doing yoga, and other meditative activities. 7)Keep things clean. This applies to the face - avoid touching, squeezing, poking, self-applied surgery and if you have pimples, consistently touching them won't be making them any smaller - just apply some treatment product and leave them alone. Keep your make up and make up accessories like sponges and brushes clean. Make up usually have a shelf life of 6 to 12 months - avoid sharing, and replace them with new ones once you think it's reached the end of its shelf life.

)Exercise moderation in drinking, partying, smoking. In fact, quit smoking altogether as it makes the skin look dull, dry, and grey. Hey, it'll make you save a few bucks too.

)Do facial massages to improve circulations around the face. This involves rubbing the tip of your fingers in circular motions around the forehead, cheeks, neck and throat, You can do this while cleansing actually - kill two birds with one stone.

)Drink plenty of water. Drink two cups of water first thing in the morning to clear and wake up your system.
